I am so frustrated with Britney Spears and her acting like a retard. Seriously. She needs Jesus.
I have been sick for the last few days. I took a flu test today and it was negative, thank the Lord. I guess I just have the crud like everyone else. Mucinex and fluids for me! I called in sick to work yesterday. I hardly ever do that, to which my 208 hours of accrued sick time will attest. I probably should have stayed home today, too, but I can't stand the thought of going back to work to a big mess, and that's exactly what will happen if I stay gone too long. It's not that the others here are incompetent, they just don't do my job like I do and then doc gets all fussy and stuff is left undone and I have to clean it up. I do feel better today, but I know I could have used the rest. Oh, well.
Love Y'all.

RIP, Heath Ledger
I'm kinda bummed about Heath. I think he was a good actor. So young. Now his baby has no daddy. So sad.
On a lighter note (ha!), I have lost - drum roll, please - 7 pounds this week! I am so happy and proud of myself. I still have quite a way to go, but I know I can do it. Thanks again to all of you for your support.
We have been pretty busy at work today. We are seeing lots of what we just call "the cough." It's a persistent cough (I'm talking weeks, y'all), sinus congestion, and fatigue with no fever. There's not really a whole lot we can do for it. Antibiotics are not helpful. Rest, fluids, Mucinex. I feel bad for people because I know they are miserable and there's just not a magic feel-better pill. If there was, I would give it to Amy and Sara. They have wicked-bad bronchitis. Seriously, my house sounds like a TB ward. Caleb and I have escaped it thus far. I pray he doesn't get sick.
I tried to come up with another paragraph, but I'm all out of stuff to talk about.
Love y'all.

Not Much Going On
I took the day off yesterday and didn't do too much. Caleb was out of school so Daniel came over to spend the night Sunday and they played most of the day on Monday. We were supposed to go to the Preds game, but Caleb fell asleep around 4. He slept for a few hours, got up and ate, then went back to bed.
Dance War was good last night. Bruno's team was better, and I'm not just saying that because Charity is on his team. Their routines were just better. Granted, I think Carrie Ann has the power house singers, but they still fell short in my opinion. I voted 5 times - Go Charity!!!
Work is dull today.
See y'all later. Love y'all.

Thanks, Y'all!
Thanks to all for the encouraging comments on my last blog. You have no idea how much I needed it.
Today has been pretty dull. I cleaned the house, did lots of laundry. I am really bad about putting laundry off until I'm down to that last pair of drahs. You know, the ones you've had for years that don't quite fit and have that one spot that won't come out but they really are clean but you haven't gotten rid of them and always make them your last resort? Maybe that's just me. Anywho, lots of laundry.
Church was good tonight. I enjoy Saturday night service. We started our New Year's Series. It's a World Outreach tradition. It has an airport/travel theme so the courtyard looks like an airport terminal. They also had an airplane flying overhead with a light-up sign underneath it that announced the new series. The message was really good as well. He talked about fear. Did you know that the Bible uses the phrase "do not be afraid" more than 400 times?
The diet is going well. I have not cheated at all and I credit this to Jesus. I pray for the ability to resist temptation, because I love me some food. I am going to weigh on Wednesday, so we shall see how it goes. I will keep you posted.
Amy is downstairs eating green bean fries with ranch dressing and lobster tortellini from TGIFridays. Give me strength.
Love you all.

The Fat Bridesmaid
I decided at the first of the year that I would order Nutrisystem. I started today. When the box of food came last night, it was a little overwhelming. The box weighed more than forty pounds and I started to freak out a little. It was slightly bizarre to see all the food I would be eating for the next 28 days spread out in front of me. Caleb was excited. He kept saying, "this food looks good. I wish I was fat so I could eat it." LOL! I feel more motivated than ever to lose weight. I refuse to be the fat bridesmaid at Karen's wedding. So far today I have eaten cereal with a banana, cheese tortellini with fruit, and tonight I will have a cheese pizza. I have also consumed 60 ounces of water. For dessert tonight I get to eat a cookie. Funsies!
My starting weight was 239 pounds. I will keep you posted. Prayers and words of encouragement are always appreciated.
Love y'all!
P.S. - Sara, did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be. I can fly higher than an eeeeeagle. You are the wind beneath my wings. Flyyyyyyyy..... Flyyyyyy....

So I Turned 31...
No big deal. It was quite uneventful.
Did everyone catch Dance War last night? I am so happy for Charity! I think she is going to do well. She kinda got screwed on that first song last night. It was a terrible song and it was obvious that the key was not comfortable for any of the girls. None of them sounded good on it. Charity danced her butt off, though. Bruno is lucky to have her. We all need to make sure we vote for her!
You will be happy to know that I think we got rid of the smell in our office. It doesn't smell like the Mission in here anymore.
Y'all have a good day!

Prayer Request
A woman I know is having brain surgery next week, so I am asking all of you to lift her up in prayer. I believe that the Lord will bring her through it, but it it always comforting to know that others are praying and believing with you.

On a Completely Unrelated Subject...
...We have a problem with the air ducts in our office. It has been warm today, so Matt turned the air on. The air that blows out of the ducts smells like dirty feet. At first I thought it was me, so I'm smelling my pits and making sure there's nothing on my shoes. After about an hour I started asking other people if they smelled it and, of course, they did. It wasn't me. It smells like something soured. Like when you leave a wet dishrag laying around. Funky. Beyond funky. I mean, this is a friggin clinic. It should smell clean. Right now it smells like the church sanctuary after a night of "Room in the Inn." Come on Woodbiners, you know what I'm saying. Ugh.
Sometimes I Forget to Blog. Alot.
Today, I just have to blog. God is so good to me everyday, but today in particular he blessed me to pieces. I won't go into details, but I prayed for something last night, something I really needed, and I just put it in his hands and believed that It would happen, and It did. Praise the Lord! I actually had needed it for a while, but I tried to do it on my own, and I just screwed it up. Why do I always do that? Thankfully, the Lord had mercy on me and my hard head and took care of it. Thank you, Lord.
